Our
many sporting/leisure amenities provide you with excellent and often
unusual entertainment to ensure your visit or function is a memorable
one.
For example we offer:
- An 18 hole golf course, golf club and trundler hire available.

Trout fishing at our door, guides available for day hire.
- Horse riding, either from the Lodge's stables or guided
horse treks on local rivers or forests. Picnic hampers available.
- Leisure pursuits in the Lodge's grounds include croquet,
volleyball and orienteering.
- Native bush walks
or scenic walks on the Rangitaiki or Whirinaki Rivers.
- Arrangements can be made for claybird shooting, laser shooting,
Pulse Ranger, target shooting, etc. (day & night activities).
- White water rafting and jet boating nearby.
- Helicopter pad set in the grounds for charter/sightseeing
tours.

The
Rangitaiki River fishery catchment is the largest in the Region
and one of the few that offers a wide range of fishing opportunities.
These range from lake fishing for giant browns and rainbows
in Lake Aniwhenua with some fish caught weighing over 5kg
(10lbs+) to small stream fishing in the upper reaches. A major
proportion of the area is open all year round including the
majority of the Rangitaiki river.
